Exposure to financial crime is a growing global problem in the insurance sector. To prevent misuse of insurance services for criminal purposes, insurance brokers/agents must remain vigilant and exercise due diligence when assessing the legitimacy of clients and transactions to prevent unwitting involvement in money laundering schemes or other illicit activities.
This course involves discussion, case scenarios and Q&A’s throughout, to ensure that participants understand typologies, schemes, risks of money laundering, spot red flags, FIAMLA and other regulations and recommendations, as far as insurance brokers are concerned.
